   Guidelines from your virtual coach

And now, let us “decipher” another chunk of our first acquaintance
dialogue that you watched on the video.
On the next page, we will learn another basic acquaintance question in
masculine form, followed by the same question in the feminine form.
Although in English the question to addressed to a male or a female does
not change, it sounds different in Hebrew, because “You” masculine and
feminine differ in Hebrew.

   • Where are you from?
On the left side of the page, you will have the new vocabulary in English,
and on the right side, we added the Hebrew in a phonetic format.
This way, you will be able to read and connect to the sounds of Hebrew
easily.
Listen to the recording and, at the same time, follow the text with your eyes.
Start with the question: Where are you from?
And follow the answer: * I am from ...
Keep on going till the end of the page.
Good luck!!!

       * Pay attention: In Hebrew, the preposition “from” - “ME…” or “MI…”
connects to the following word and becomes part of it.
Therefore in Hebrew “I am from America” is “ANI ME’AMERICA”.
“I am from Canada” is “ANI MI’CANADA”.
