First Reveal: The Israeli Grandmother’s SIMPLE Secret to Speaking Hebrew With ZERO Effort, While Enjoying Israeli Media
My story begins in the year 1992…
As waves of Jewish-Russian Olim (immigrants) were coming to Israel, hoping to make the Holy Land their new Jewish home.
At the time, I was a young Hebrew teacher, working at a small Hebrew school when I was approached by a group of Jewish-Russian students with PHD degrees, who asked me if I could help them with what seemed like an impossible task:
They asked me to teach them Hebrew to a level that would allow them to pass the academic exams that would qualify them to teach in Israeli academic institutions.
“That’s very doable” I remember thinking…
And then they added – “The exam is in one month”.
To this day I don’t know why I agreed to help:
In only two months, I had to take an adult group, with a very basic level of Hebrew and hardworking day jobs and bring them to a highly advanced level that would allow them to learn alongside and teach Israeli students.
Well, long-story-short, I did it.
And everyone in the group got accepted into various academic facilities in Israel. But it wasn’t without many struggles and hardships along the way.
In order to get my students to pass the exam, I had to revamp the way Hebrew was being taught and make my teachings as effective and practical as possible.
But once I finished, I realized that I have stumbled upon something truly amazing:
A much faster and easier way to teach practical Hebrew, that can help even the most absolute of beginners reach the highest levels of Hebrew proficiency.
Based on these discoveries, my husband Yoel and I embarked on a 20-year-long research journey to perfect our new way of teaching Hebrew.
Along the way, I got my degrees in Hebrew literature and Jewish philosophy, while teaching Hebrew in many governmental institutions.
My Husband Yoel, received his Ph.D. in industrial engineering, as he continued his career in the field of Hi-Tech and became an executive director in various High-Tech start-ups in Israel.
Finally, in 1995, and after many years of research, we decided we have all the right pieces in place, and it was time to let the world know about our new Hebrew teaching methodology.
And so, we founded “Ulpan-Or”.
Today I am proud to say that Ulpan-Or is the world’s leading Hebrew learning institution, which has helped over 55K students in its 27 years of existence, using the unique method I invented and developed for the last three decades.
